-
What are the main materials used in the construction of Evolution House? The Evolution House primarily uses wood for the structural framework, combined with sustainable materials like cork, hemp, celluloses, clay, lime and ceramics. This combination ensures durability, thermal and acoustic insulation, and a reduced ecological footprint.
-
Are they wooden houses? These are not "wooden houses", as you can see on our House section. We use wooden structures, as has been used for centuries, but the rest of the house is made from many other materials, such as cork, special plasters, natural lime, stone, clay or plaster. However, we can also make the exterior walls from wood as decorative arts if you wish.
-
What are the advantages of using wood structures?Sustainability as a renewable resource. Natural insulation for thermal comfort. Lightweight yet strong properties. Design flexibility for modular growth. Fast assembly due to prefabrication. Fire resistance through charred layers. Health benefits by regulating humidity and preventing bacteria growth. Durability when properly treated.
-
What customization options are available for Evolution House? The Evolution House offers various customization options for design and finishes. Clients can choose different types of cladding, interior finishes, and details according to their tastes and needs.
-
How long does it take to build? It depends on whether it is a model from our catalogue or a completely new project, as it will mainly depend on the time it takes to design and approve the project by the client. This is followed by the licensing process from the local authority and after that we begin the entire process of producing the house. We have houses built in 2 weeks and recently we built a 140 m2 house in 5 weeks, with two floors, two bedrooms with bathroom, living room and kitchen, fully decorated, furnished and equipped. The preparation and manufacturing time of the structure usually takes 3 to 4 weeks. In total, if you use one of our models, we can estimate a minimum of 2 to 3 months to be able to move into your home, as it depends on the time it takes to approve the project and the local authority licensing.
-
Can you choose your own finishes?Yes, Evolution House offers flexibility in selecting finishes to match your style and preferences. While we provide a range of eco-friendly and high-quality materials as standard options, you are welcome to customize your finishes, such as flooring, wall treatments, and cabinetry, to create a home that reflects your personal taste. Our team will guide you to ensure your choices align with the sustainable vision of Evolution House.
-
Can you choose your own builder?Yes, you can choose your own builder to assemble Evolution House. While we provide detailed assembly instructions and support to ensure a smooth construction process, you are free to work with a builder of your choice. Additionally, our team can collaborate with your builder to maintain the high standards and sustainability principles of Evolution House. If needed, we can also recommend trusted professionals experienced with our modular system.
-
How much does it cost?It depends on the model and, above all, on the finish. The best method is always to define a budget with the client from the outset. Our technicians will use this as the basis for the final project, adapting the materials to your budget. There are small models basic KITS costing from 40 thousand euros... to hundreds of thousands of euros for luxuary models. One thing is certain: no model is less energy efficient, regardless of its price. The difference lies in the finish and size, never in the quality of the structural or insulation materials, which are always the same regardless of the model.

How much can I save by using an Evolution House KIT?Using an Evolution House KIT can lead to significant cost savings compared to traditional construction methods. Here are the key ways you save: 1. Reduced Labor Costs The modular design and simplified assembly mean the house can be built by fewer people (often just two), reducing the need for large construction crews. Faster assembly time translates to fewer labor hours and lower overall labor expenses. 2. Faster Construction Time Prefabricated components cut down construction time by up to 50% compared to traditional builds. Less time on-site means fewer costs related to equipment rental, on-site facilities, and project management. 3. Lower Material Waste Precision manufacturing ensures that materials are pre-cut and optimized, significantly reducing waste. This efficiency lowers the costs associated with excess material and waste disposal. 4. Fewer On-Site Errors Factory-controlled production reduces mistakes and rework, saving money on corrections and delays often seen in traditional construction. 5. Simplified Logistics All components are delivered as a complete package, reducing multiple deliveries and associated transportation costs. 6. Flexibility for Self-Build Homeowners who opt for self-building can save on professional fees by assembling the KIT themselves with provided instructions. 7. Energy Efficiency Savings The use of sustainable insulation materials like cork and hemp ensures high energy efficiency, reducing long-term heating and cooling costs
-
Do we build the house or only supply the design and material? We offer both options, depending on your needs. Supply Only: We can provide the design, materials, and detailed instructions (Green Heritage KITS) for you or your chosen builder to assemble the house. Full Service: Alternatively, we can handle the entire construction process, (with our partners on your region) from design and material supply to assembly and finishing, ensuring a seamless experience. Our flexible approach allows you to choose the solution that works best for your project
-
What is the expected durability of these houses? Our houses are inspired by the famous colombage, and the formula we use is even more protective, since we completely cover the houses with black cork agglomerate, an extraordinarily durable and rot-proof material. As we all know, the biggest problems responsible for damage to houses are their structure and deterioration due to humidity. Therefore, the combination of anti-seismic wooden structures and cork coverings provides exceptional protection. We won't be around to see it, but we hope that our houses will last at least as long as their colombage brothers. In other words, several centuries!
-
Do you need a license to build?Of course! All the normal licensing procedures are followed. We prepare all the necessary projects and our technicians will provide you with full support during the licensing process with your local council.
-
What are the benefits of having an eco-friendly home? The benefits of having an eco-friendly home include a smaller carbon footprint, energy efficiency, saving money on your energy bill, better indoor air quality, less exposure to toxic chemicals, greater thermal comfort, higher resale value, and a healthy, sustainable environment.
-

-
What are the facade finishing options for Evolution House? The Evolution House offers several facade finishing options, including: Lime-based plasters for a breathable, natural finish. Sprayed cork (capoto system) for excellent thermal and moisture insulation. Ventilated facades with a variety of finishes like wood or ceramic, improving airflow and thermal performance
-
What types of foundations are used for Evolution House?Foundation types depend on the terrain. The most common method is a concrete base with a rubbertrench foundation, popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright. In some cases, we use screw pile foundations (giant screws), which are quick to install and minimize environmental impact
-
How does the wood structure behave in case of fire? The wood used in Evolution House is treated for fire resistance. When exposed to flames, the wood forms a charred layer that acts as a barrier, slowing down the spread of fire. Additionally, the structure includes passive fire protection systems, enhancing safety.
-
