Waterproofing
EPDM, TPO
EPDM rubber membranes are single-layer waterproofing sheets that are 100% cured. They are manufactured from the thermopolymer Ethylene Propylene Diene mixed with carbon black, clay, oils, vulcanizing agents, and other process auxiliaries. The material is stretched and vulcanized into large sheets.
EPDM Roofing Membranes Offer Unique Advantages

Durability
The composition of GISCOLENE and RUBBERGARD membranes provides exceptional resistance to ozone, UV radiation, extreme high and low temperatures, and aging. These membranes can withstand environmental exposure for over 50 years.
Ease of Installation

The GISCOLENE or RUBBERGARD EPDM waterproofing system offers standard rolls or large sheets, reducing the number of required seams and installation time. Their lightweight nature makes transportation easier. A set of accessories simplifies installation: joints, exterior and interior corners, drains, pipes, and more. We offer theoretical and practical courses on the installation of our systems.

Flexibility and Elongation
EPDM membranes maintain great flexibility regardless of exterior temperature, allowing for year-round installation. The membrane can stretch over 300%, adapting to building movement and temperature changes.

Low Lifecycle Cost
EPDM membranes require little to no maintenance. If repairs are needed, they can be easily fixed with self-adhesive accessories, even after decades of use.

This feature, combined with their durability and competitive installation cost, results in a low lifecycle cost.

Sustainable Waterproofing Solution
EPDM rubber membranes are an inert material with limited environmental impact during manufacturing and use.
They emit no toxic substances during or after installation, making it possible to collect and use rainwater for domestic purposes.
TPO Environmental Respect
This waterproofing membrane reflects heat, resulting in an energy-efficient system. Its light-colored surface reflects sunlight before it’s absorbed, reducing the cooling needs of buildings in warm, sunny climates. The halogen-, chlorine-, and plasticizer-free membrane formula, along with hot-air welded seams, contribute to the system’s eco-friendly properties. Additionally, the membrane is easily recyclable.

The manufacturing facilities for Firestone's TPO membrane are certified under ISO 14001, demonstrating the brand's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Superior Durability and Longevity
Firestone's ULTRAPLY TPO membrane contains no plasticizers or halogenated flame retardants, providing excellent resistance to UV rays and ozone. The membrane also offers high resistance to fungi growth and common chemicals used in roofing.

Easy Application
ULTRAPLY TPO membranes are available in widths up to 3.05 meters, facilitating quick and cost-effective installation.

Hot-Air Welded Seams
The hot-air welded seams of the ULTRAPLY TPO membrane allow for fast and economical installation, ensuring consistently high-quality joints with strong resistance. Hot-air welding creates a homogeneous bond by fusing the top and bottom membranes together.

Compatible with a Wide Range of Roofs, Including Green and Photovoltaic Roofs
This membrane, reinforced with a polyester mesh and heat-weldable, has passed the FLL test for root penetration resistance. Rubbersun photovoltaic panels can be mounted onto the ULTRAPLY TPO membrane using the quick-adhesive seam.
